Ingredients
Ingredient
Percentage
Function
Silicone Elastomer
80.0%
Provides a flexible, heat-resistant matrix that forms the primary sealing body.
Fumed Silica
10.0%
Reinforces the silicone matrix, enhancing mechanical properties and viscosity.
Curing Agent
5.0%
Initiates cross-linking to cure the silicone matrix, forming a durable seal.
Colorant
3.0%
Provides pigmentation to the sealant for aesthetic or identification purposes.
Adhesion Promoter
2.0%
Enhances the bond strength of the sealant to various substrates.
Manufacturing Process
Mixing Phase
Mix Silicone Elastomer and Fumed Silica in a planetary mixer at 60 RPM for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Slowly incorporate the Curing Agent and mix for an additional 15 minutes.
Add the Colorant and continue mixing until fully uniform, checking for consistency and color homogeneity.
Curing Phase
Transfer mixed sealant into cartridges.
Cure at 150°C for 1 hour in a convection oven, monitoring for complete polymerization.
Usage Instructions
Apply using a standard caulking gun. Ensure substrates are clean and dry before applying the sealant. Measure application bead size depending on the gap and expected thermal expansion.
