Manufacturing Process
Polymer Compounding Phase
Heat PLA and PCL to 180-200°C in a twin-screw extruder, maintaining uniform mixing throughout
Gradually introduce the organic plasticizer and nucleating agent at the die section for homogeneity
Monitor strand diameter to ensure consistent output from the extruder
Cooling and Pelletizing Phase
Pass the extruded strands through a water bath maintained at 20°C to solidify
Pelletize the cooled strands using a strand pelletizer to desired grain size
Check for uniform pellet size and absence of defects
Filament Extrusion Phase
Feed pellets into a filament extruder at 180-200°C
Extrude through nozzle of specified diameter to achieve standard filament thickness
Use a cooling system to ensure even cooling and minimize shrinkage
Usage Instructions
Feed the filament into your 3D printer and set the extruder temperature between 180-200°C. Ensure printing speed is adjusted for material properties. Use a heated bed if necessary to improve adhesion.
